NORTH ISLAND

1. Cathedral Cove

Cathedral Cove, located in the Coromandel Peninsula, is a picture frame created by nature. Looking at the ocean and standing under the rock feels like entering paradise. Visit the cove to take the most beautiful pictures ever or to just sit and enjoy the sunset. This place helps you to take a breather and get rid of school stress while creating peaceful memories to last for the rest of your life.

Early evening is the best time to visit the cove if you want to keep away from the crowd.

2. Lake Taupo

This beautiful lake lies about 200km from Palmerston North. Lake Taupo is located by one of the most popular hikes in NZ, Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Lake Taupo’s surrounding views with mountains in the horizon are just stunning, especially during sunrise or sunset. A visit there is an absolute must when in New Zealand!

SOUTH ISLAND

4. Milford Sound

Even the name, Milford Sound, is so beautiful and calming. The beauty of this location can already be felt when starting your journey there along New Zealand highway 94, one of the coolest roads ever. Once you get to Milford Sound and take the boat cruise, it will take your breath away: Mountains, crystal clear water and waterfalls. It’s pure magic and probably the most beautiful place you’ve ever been to. It’s not called the real gem of New Zealand for no reason.

Milford Sound is definitely one of New Zealand’s most spectacular natural attractions.

5. Roy’s Peak

Enjoy the moment and the views as they are pretty spectacular. See how the landscape just continues on and on, how the rivers swirl between the mountains and the sun sets into the horizon. The feeling of holding your best friend’s hand while standing on the edge of Roy’s Peak is just pure magic.
