Amalie is one of our first BBF students in Bali!

Forget silicon valley – Bali is the new hotspot for entrepreneurs and start ups! Our first batch of entrepreneur and leadership students will start in autumn 2019. Amalie is one of the few lucky ones who secured a spot early on. But why did she decide to take the step and live in paradise to learn how to master the craft of entrepreneurship and leadership?

Amalie was one of the first to apply for the BBF Program in Bali.

Hi Amalie, can you please introduce yourself?

My name is Amalie Hansen, I’m 23 years old and I’m from Copenhagen in Denmark. At the moment I’m back home in Copenhagen. I just finished my 4th Semester on my bachelor at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) where I’m studying economy and psychology.

How did you hear about Bali Business Foundation program and what made you decide to apply for the program?

I actually got in to the WIP-program at Warmadewa back in October. But then I saw the BBF-program and since I’m both very passionate about sustainable change, entrepreneurship and leadership I immediately switched over as I found the BBF-program PERFECT for me.

How was the application process?

I was really surprised by how easy and fast the application process was. Extremely fast replies and easy formularies to fill out. Overall just very transparent.

What are your expectations of the program?

I expect that the program gives me an opportunity to develop my competences and knowledge within entrepreneurship in a perspective of sustainability. I hope it can help to expand my ideas and to canalize them out so that they can help the world to become more aware of sustainability and how to save our environment and planet.

Are you excited about Bali?

I’m MORE than excited. Bali is like coming home. It is everything my heart and soul adores; amazing food, beautiful nature, yoga, surfing and most important of all – a spirit that makes people do what they love the most.

Did you know about: the Green Movement In Bali?

Bali truly is a magical place in every way. And being there studying something I really do believe can change the world within the environmental area is probably as sense making as it can be to me.
