Two Finnish guys once had the adventure of their lives going on an exchange semester in Asia. It was a life-changing experience and they wanted other students to experience the same fascinating journey. That’s how Asia Exchange got started. Ever since we have been helping students around the world achieve their dreams.

This year has marked an important milestone as we have celebrated our 10-year anniversary. This couldn’t have been possible without all our students and staff! Read out more about the highlights of the year when Asia Exchange turned ten!

Asia Exchange’s founders celebrated their company’s 10-year anniversary together with their staff in Bali. Not too shabby!

A lot has happened during these ten years. Everything started with one partner university in Thailand (Prince of Songkla University in Phuket) but soon others came along. Today, we offer the chance to study abroad in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea and Taiwan.

One of the biggest highlights of the anniversary was definitely when the team from the main office in Finland visited Bali for two weeks during August and September. The idea behind the trip was to celebrate the anniversary together with the people who made all this possible – the motivated and enthusiastic staff. For many of the staff members it was also the first time they got to visit Bali.

Balinese Traditional Dances are an integral part of Balinese Life. The Finnish team got to see and experience Bali for themselves.

The trip was important and rewarding in many ways. The Finnish team got to see and experience Bali for themselves. They had the chance to get to know the students better and take part of the orientation days and see what a typical day is like in Bali. And best of all, it was amazing to finally get to know and meet the colleagues behind the emails and Skype conversations face-to-face!

Amazing experiences after another have inspired students all around the world. During these 10 years we have helped 4500 students from 60 countries study abroad in Asia, easily and affordable. This year alone it has been almost 1000 students from over 30 countries. This means that taking part in our programs is a truly international experience – you get to interact not only with the locals, but with people from all around the world.

A couple of new programs started this year. We introduced a summer school program in South Korea and the Japan Program at Otemon Gakuin University had its first students. Together with Warmadewa University in Bali we also launched a new summer school program that will take place for the first time in 2018. We also started a cooperating with one of the largest study abroad membership networks in the world, ISEP. They represent our destinations in Bali, Indonesia and Shanghai, China.

Asia Exchange received a lot of love from all around the globe for the 10 year journey. We want to share the lovely videos with you and wish you great year for 2018!

A lot has happened, and a lot is about to come. In the future we want to keep providing unique, unforgettable experiences for students from all over the world.
So far students from all but one continent have taken part in our programs – we’re still waiting for that student from Antarctica. So if you happen to know someone from there, let them know!
