The study abroad program in Phuket is ideal for students who want to get to know Thailand and Asia while living on the famous paradise island of Phuket. Exchange students are able to combine a challenging academic program, exotic free time activities and unforgettable experiences during their study abroad semester. The aim of the program is to broaden students’ knowledge of Asia in an international and inspiring environment.

Phuket is a good destination for anyone living abroad for the first time and the host university takes great care of its international students. Students have the chance to discover the island during the many extracurricular activities PSU organizes, such as home stays, Thai cooking classes, clean the beach boot camps, a night at the surf house, and so on. It is also possible to do voluntary work in Phuket (which looks great on CV!), if student so wishes, for example at the Asia Center Foundation children’s home.

Students testimonials

"Study hard, and learn as much as you can both culturally and academically! Always remember to make time for putting that cultural knowledge to use. Travel, grow and live in the moment. Nothing could be more important than all of these."
- Lacey Cooper
Grand Valley State University (USA)

"The world has an interesting way of giving great experiences to the ones who are passionate about their dreams and want to live up to them. Thanks to the International Office at my home university and thanks to Asia Exchange for making this possible! Asia keeps calling me back!"
- Miia, Finland

"Phuket turned out to be an excellent study abroad destination and Thailand a fascinating country to live in. There is plenty to do but also serene, calm places in the wild, when you crave for some alone time. My preconceptions of Phuket as a mere holiday destination started to crumble from the first day onwards."
