We recommend arriving in Bangkok a week before the start of the semester. Thus you will have time to visit the international office at the university and discuss your course plan. Also you will have time to organize your long term accommodation. The semesters start with an orientation and the official lectures will proceed after that in a few days.
International Undergraduate Progam (IUP) contains three different curricula. Please take a look at the course listings below.
1) Curriculum for Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering
- Course descriptions of Mechanical Engineering
2) Curriculum for Bachelor of Engineering - Electrical-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering
- Course descriptions of Electrical-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering
3) Curriculum for Bachelor of Engineering - Software And Knowledge Engineering
- Course descriptions of Software And Knowledge Engineering
For some of the engineering courses you have to prove your knowledge on the topic in order to take part in the course.
General information on the courses
Use the syllabi and course descriptions when presenting your study plan to your home institution. This will help them to decide how to transfer credits and grant scholarships. Syllabi will be circulated on the lectures. You will select your final courses when in Bangkok and present them to Kasetsart University. This means you don't have the make your final decision when applying. Please note that courses from different faculties may be organized at the same time. KU reserves rights for changes in dates and courses.
One course is worth 3 Thai credits which most of the time converts to 5 ECTS (including lectures, assignments, preparting for exams and completing them, field work and company visits). You can normally pick six courses which form an entity of 30 ECTS. Read more under study credits.
Students can participate in more than one semester. If you wish to participate in more than one semester please indicate that in your application or contact us.

Student testimonial: ”It’s awesome here! I wonder how four and a half months will be long enough to experience all the interesting things that Thailand has to offer! Bangkok alone offers so much to see and do that it makes my head spin. All the exchange students seem very pleased with the destination. The versatility of a big city is hard to beat." |
