Flooding situation in Bangkok improving

South East Asia is a sensitive region for natural hazards. During the past month Thailand has suffered from severe flooding but now the situation is slowly getting better in certain areas.

Asia Exchange represents two universities in Bangkok. We are happy to announce that the semester started at Siam University on November 21st. The fall semester at Kasetsart University will start on December 19th according to the latest news.

The past events shouldn’t have any effect on the semesters starting in 2012. New exchange students can plan their upcoming semesters as usual but we encourage students to follow local media, e.g. Bangkok Post, and their own country’s Thai embassy’s website.

Our hearts and thoughts are with everyone whose lives were and are affected by the flooding in Thailand and neighboring countries.
